Principals Message

Felicie Becker

Dear Quincy High School Families,

It is my pleasure to serve as the Quincy High School principal and to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. I look forward to what promises to be an exciting year filled with opportunities to celebrate new beginnings and possibilities with our QHS students and families.

Along with our dedicated and caring staff, your student’s presence, passion, and drive help transform an empty building into a powerful space for learning where greatness is explored, and potentials are achieved. As Jacks, we pledge to live the Jackrabbit Way and uphold our values of readiness, responsibility, and respect every day. Together, we are actively creating and cultivating a legacy that strikes a balance between old and new traditions in service of a strong culture of safety and belonging.

Recently, the Quincy School District brought together various stakeholders to create our new Strategic Plan. This plan guides everything that we do in our district and schools. Members of the community, school board, administration, and over 50 teacher-leaders participated in crafting the Mission, Core Beliefs, Vision, Goals and Strategies within the plan. The Vision for Equity and Excellence captures our desired impact with the statement, “Each student and their families feel a sense of belonging in our schools. We believe that every student can do and be anything.”

At Quincy High School, we aim to model what it means to be lifelong learners, which means we are always striving to grow and improve in our ability to build on the strengths and meet the needs of all students. We cannot achieve this goal without ongoing feedback from our students and families. The QHS admin team wants to hear from you. Whether you have a question, a concern, or a celebration, our doors are always open, so please do not hesitate to reach out with a phone call or an email or meeting request. Our wonderful front office support staff are available Monday through Friday 7:30 AM-4:00 PM and will be happy to connect you with the right helper whenever you need.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children. We are blessed to have them here with us at Quincy High School. It’s a great year to be a Jack!
