Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts – The Washington Association of Sewer & Water Districts (WASWD) is pleased to offer scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing a career in the industry represented by our membership. WASWD offers a college scholarship, and a utility operator scholarship for high school graduates or others who seek technical training for operator positions. The WASWD Scholarship Fund is dedicated to Walt Canter, a long-term Commissioner of the Cedar River Water and Sewer District (1969-2017). He is considered a legend in the Sewer and Water industry in the State of Washington. Deadline June 28, 2024. Click here to apply. 

Grant County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen Scholarship - The Grant County Cattlemen and Cattlewomen will award one Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and two Scholarships in the amounts of $500 each to students residing in and graduating from a Grant County or West Adams County High School who can meet the

The Washington Award for Vocational Excellence (WAVE) scholarship - WAVE is a merit scholarship that honors the achievements of Washington’s top career and technical education students. There are up to 147 winners each year — three from each state legislative district. Click to apply. 

Larson Gross Accountants of Tomorrow Merit Scholarship - Please note that all application should be received no later than Friday, June 14, 2024. The scholarship winner will be notified by mail in July 2024 and funds will be disbursed upon proof of enrollment in Fall 2024 classes. Click to apply. 

Central Basin Audubon Society Ron Van Nurden Memorial Scholarship - For graduating high school seniors who are planning a career in the field of Environmental Education, Environmental Stewardship or Wildlife Conservation or in the field of Natural History.  The applicant’s chosen area of study should be involved in conservation science, or fish and wildlife management, or habitat restoration and maintenance, or enforcement for the protection of wildlife and habitat, or similar.  Two examples of a college study area are, “Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Sciences” and “Civil and Environmental Engineering.”  Please note, preference is given for attending a college or university within the state of Washington. Grant County Farm Bureau/George Turner Memorial Scholarship - Each year, the Grant County Farm Bureau offers up to (3) $1,000.00 scholarships. These scholarships are awarded to high school or undergraduate students who are enrolling or are currently enrolled in an accredited college or university. Deadline: May 1st 2024. AgWest Farm Credit Scholarship - Scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors and college students attending a university, post-secondary institution or vocational program in the fall term of 2024. Scholarships are $2,500 and funds are made payable to the student’s financial aid department at their selected institution. Any curriculum is eligible. Autism Support Group of Grant County -  The Autism Support Group of Grant County is pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a 2024 graduating senior who has a diagnosis of autism. The purpose of this award is to promote educational/technical training at a university or college, a technical school or college, a community college, or a recognized certificate program that will contribute to or improve the applicant’s future plans.

Sea Mar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm working families face in their pursuit of a college degree. Economic strains, as well as the language and cultural barriers can often affect these students.
Sometimes students need to work after-school and all summer to assist their family. Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.
Award amount: $1,000.

The Sea Mar Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship provides financial support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, perseverance, are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.

  • Eligibility: High school and undergraduate students are eligible to apply if they are first generation college students, have volunteering experience, and are in Texas, Mississippi, or Washington.

  • Amount: $6,000 (4 winners, $1,500 each)

  • Eligibility: Any high school senior at a public high school in Washington who is planning on attending college or a trade school to pursue environmental studies may apply for this scholarship.
